Karkat, Sollux, and myself had just watched two of our friends be hung for all to see. Karkat was shaking and crying in my arms. Sollux and I both knew he was blaming himself for this, just as he did with everything else. The crowed booed the executioner as the young female troll laughed. She wore nothing but a red ribbon over her eyes to cover her face from the crowed. Equsis then walked over to us and pulled our chains forcing us to follow him till we got to our prison cell. He then took us out of our chains and put us in handcuffed. “The King will be here shortly.” he sighed and locked our door walking away. Sollux leaned against one of the four walls. I sat on the ground with Karkat crying into my shirt. No one now how long we'd be in this blood stan, rat infested hell. We had already been here for days and we wanted to leave now. It was different this time though, Karkat wasn’t arguing with Dave, Kanya wasn’t here to lifting our hopes. She had told us right before they took her away think of the rain as liquid sunshine, something Rose had told here before she left to join the Sea Dwellers, who now fought along side with the rebels. “D-don’t worry Kit-Kat… it’ll be okay.” I whispered in a hoarse voice.

“But it fucking won’t…” he growled. “It’s all my fucking fault!” he pulled away from me and pushed himself against the wall facing me and Sollux.

“N-no… it’s not.” I whispered.

“Thhut up KK. I’m not in the mood to lithen.” Sollux hissed.

“When are we ever going to be in the fucking mood! We’re are all going to rot here! Don’t you get it! We're going to-” he screamed back as we all heard a loud honk causing us to all go quite.
